How to Set Up Your Store Identity

Your store identity controls the public information customers see when they visit your Zemers shop.

This includes your store handle, profile picture, thumbnail, name, bio, header layout, and social media links.

These details help customers understand who you are, what your store represents, and where they can find you online.

Changes are saved automatically after each edit. There is no Save button on this page.

Before you start

You need:

  • A Zemers account

  • Access to your creator dashboard

  • A store handle you want to use publicly

  • A profile picture

  • A short bio

  • Your social media usernames, if available

You can update your store identity at any time.

Step 1: Open the Identity settings

From your Zemers dashboard, go to: Storefront → Identity

Or open:

https://www.zemers.com/super-admin/tenants?tab=identity

This opens the identity settings for your public shop.

Step 2: Set your store handle

Your store handle is your public Zemers username.

For example: @hawking

This handle appears in your public store URL and helps customers recognize your shop.

To change it, click: Edit

Choose a handle that is simple, clear, and close to your creator name or brand name.

Step 3: Add your profile picture

Your profile picture appears on your public shop and helps customers recognize you.

In the Profile picture section, click: Change

You can also click Remove if you want to delete the current profile picture.

Recommended format:

  • 1:1 square

  • Minimum 512×512px

  • Clear face, logo, or brand image

Step 4: Choose your thumbnail type

The thumbnail gives your store a stronger visual identity.

You can choose:

  • Picture

  • Video

Use Picture for a simple, clean setup.

Use Video if you want a richer introduction or a more personal storefront experience.

Select Picture or Video, then upload or add the thumbnail you want to use.

Step 5: Choose your shop page header layout

The shop page header controls how your profile picture, name, and social links appear at the top of your public shop.

You can choose between:

  • Normal

  • Compact

  • Fade

Normal shows your picture above your name and social links.

Compact places your picture on the left, with your name and social links on the right.

Fade creates a more visual header where your 1:1 picture fades into the background, with your name below.

Choose the layout that fits your brand style best.

Step 6: Add your name

In the Name & Bio section, enter the public name you want customers to see.

This can be:

  • Your personal name

  • Your creator name

  • Your brand name

  • Your business name

Use the name your audience already recognizes.

Step 7: Add your bio

Your bio is a short description that appears on your public shop.

Use it to explain who you are or what customers can expect from your content.

Keep it short and clear.

For example:

  • Be the best version of yourself

  • Digital products for independent creators

  • Courses, tools, and resources for building online

The bio has a character limit, so focus on the most important message.

In the Social Media Links section, add the usernames or handles for the platforms you use.

You can add links for:

  • Instagram

  • X

  • YouTube

  • TikTok

  • Facebook

  • LinkedIn

  • Twitch

  • Threads

Only add the platforms you actively use or want customers to visit.

Your social links will appear on your public shop, depending on your selected header layout.

Step 9: Check your public shop

After editing your identity settings, open your public storefront and review how everything looks.

Check:

  • Store handle

  • Profile picture

  • Thumbnail

  • Header layout

  • Name

  • Bio

  • Social links

  • Mobile layout

Make sure your public shop feels clear, recognizable, and aligned with your brand.

Best practices

Use a clear profile picture.

Keep your handle short and easy to remember.

Write a bio that explains the value of your store quickly.

Only add social links that are active and relevant.

Choose a header layout that matches your brand style.

Check your store on mobile before sharing your link.

What if something is not working as expected:

If your handle does not update

Try a different handle. The one you entered may already be taken or may not meet the required format.

If your profile picture looks blurry

Upload a higher-quality square image. Use at least 512×512px.

If your thumbnail does not appear

Make sure you selected either Picture or Video and added the correct media.

If your bio looks too long

Shorten it to the clearest version. Your bio should be easy to read at a glance.

Check that you entered only the correct username or handle for that platform.

If you do not see a Save button

That is expected. Store identity changes are saved automatically after each edit.
